Journalists who were taken hostage after masked gunmen stormed the live studio of Ecuadorian channel TC have spoken of their ordeal.
Alina Manrique said the armed men “chased” the staff, and that she thought she would never see her children again.
TV presenter Jorge Rendon, who was living in the studio when the attack happened, said it was “very violent”.
Ecuador's president has ordered the “neutralization” of criminal gangs after days of violence that culminated in an attack on a television studio.
Police arrested 13 people following the attack, which resulted in the injury of two employees.
