True to his word, Elon Musk announced that former CNN anchor Don Lemon will produce exclusive content that will air on the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Musk offered both Lemon and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson a platform for their very different voices on X after the duo were fired from their networks.
CEO X initially shared a post from Democratic commentator Ed Krasenstein, who noted that Lemon would contribute his “opinions to a 30-minute episode three times a week” exclusively on the platform.
Musk then shared a post on X Business announcing the partnership, adding: “The Don Lemon Show is coming to 𝕏!”
For his part, Lemon announced the big career move and said fans of his work will find content on X first, “the largest space for freedom of expression in the world.”

Lemon celebrates moving to X
In a statement issued on X, Lemon praised the platform for its stance on free speech and embraced it as the most prominent social media company that allows for honest debate.
“I don’t know more than ever that we need a place for honest discussion and discussion without room monitors,” he said. “This is just the beginning so stay tuned.”
X Business reports that Lemon will “share his unique, honest voice” in multiple episodes weekly “covering politics, culture, sports and entertainment.”
Critics assert that Lemon does not have an “honest voice.” Fortunately, the X has a fact-checking feature known as Community Feedback, which will no doubt be training when it arrives.

Musk wants votes across the political spectrum
The announcement of Lemon on X comes eight months after Musk first presented the idea to him after being fired from CNN.
“Have you thought about presenting your presentation on this platform?” – Musk asked. “It might be worth a try. The audience is much larger.”
“On this platform, unlike the one-way broadcast street, people can react, criticize and refute everything he or anyone might say,” CEO X said of Carlson around the same time. Of course, nothing will get misleading @Community Feedback“.
“I hope that many others, especially from the left, will choose to be content creators on this platform,” Musk continued.
On Tuesday, Musk also shared a post announcing Lemon joining Carlson, sports personality Jim Rome, and Tulsi Gabbard as four key voices producing content exclusively on X.
Lemon found himself in hot water with CNN earlier this year after he accused GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, who has just announced her bid for the White House at the age of 51, and other women in their 40s and 50s, of being “over The prime of their youth.” “
The comments left viewers and his teammates a bit shocked.
Shortly thereafter, a report from Variety alleged that the CNN host had a history of engaging in misogynistic and “diva-like” behavior, even identifying an instance in which he reportedly sent threatening text messages to a female colleague.
Shortly thereafter, Lemon clashed with Republican Vivek Ramaswamy in a tense interview in which he mischaracterized the GOP presidential nominee's comments about the Civil War, reducing him to “whatever your race is,” and insisting that black people do not have freedom in America.
Now Lemon will be free to make trivial comments on X without fear of being punished for exercising free speech.
