Deer Valley Resort is preparing to open the most important terrain expansion in the history of the skiing industry, which turns the Utah State icon into one of the largest ski destinations in North America when elevators begin to spin the winter season 2025/26.
Promotion, part of multiple products “Excellent Excellence“The initiative will double more ski terrain and provide a range of modern amenities designed to improve access, flow and guest experience in general.
When the snow flies this winter, skiers will find nearly 100 new runs, ten additional heads, and one of the most advanced gondola systems in the country. The expansion of the year adds more than 2000 acres of terrain, as the Deer Valley imprint reaches 4,300 acres – more than twice the terrain previously presented.
“This is once turning in the generation, and it will reshape the way the guests face the deer Valley,” said Tod Bennett, the resort’s president and head of operations. “Our focus this year was providing this terrain to the highest possible level.”
Eastern village becomes a new gateway
At the heart of the expansion, for the first time in Deer Valley East Village, a new base area located off Route 40. It was designed as a skill gate and a future destination throughout the year, and provides East Village directly to the new terrain and will include 1,200 parking spaces in this winter this winter.
The new base provides an alternative access point for those coming from the Heber Valley or the United States HWY 40, bypassing the main roads to Park City and helping to reduce congestion in the city. The amenities for the 2025/26 season will include lifting tickets, skiing, free storage, and simplified shuttle connection between parking lots and slopes.
The future stages will witness that Deer Valley East Village is growing to a fully advanced resort center with hotels, housing, restaurants and retail spaces, but the priority of this winter is increased access.
East Feldge Express Gandol
The pioneer in expansion is The East Village Express, Oldo in Utah First in Utah and one of the fastest in the country. The system extends nearly three miles from East Village to Park Peak, and the system covers a vertical rise of 2570 feet and will take the trip in only 15 minutes.
Gondola features hot seats and windows extending from floor to ceiling, and cabins every 12 seconds, providing an arduous capacity of 3000 guests per hour. Backed by direct driving engines, the journey is designed to be smooth and landscape as effective.
The East Village Express opens direct access to a wide range of terrain, starting from high dairy vessels to dominant papers, and works as a major humanity between the new base and the slopes in the deer Valley.
Pinyon Express conductor
Another basic piece of lifting infrastructure, Pinyon Express, will lead to bridging the gap between the new terrain and the resort’s network. The elevated elevated elevator extends to the East Village towards Mountain Flagstaff, linking the paths of the beginners for beginners with high -repair areas.

Deer Valley’s ice industry capacity is upgraded through a new automatic system and a dedicated Pumphouse, ensuring consistent coverage in the early season and reliable conditions through the expanded fingerprint.
The number of resort’s paths will rise to about 238 races as soon as the project is completed, with four new tops joining the map. Bennett said the goal is to maintain the reputation of the Deer Valley quality while providing more space to explore it.
Graduate growth, strategic focus
While the first appearance of the expansion of the terrain and Deer Valley East Village will top the 2025/26 season, each element of the main plan of the resort will come online simultaneously. Deer Valley has postponed construction in the original SNOW Park base area to concentrate resources on completing the lifting and proximity.
Snow Park is scheduled to suit it in the future, which turns it into a re -visualized village with additional options for staying, eating, and skiing options. Meanwhile, guests can expect the same high touch service and pay attention to the details that made Deer Valley permanent prize.
A year in making
The changes in this season are the result of a year -long construction efforts that included everything from the lifting towers that were placed in a helicopter to wide dumped dirt work for the new operation.
In July, spectators gathered at the top of the Bald Mountain to see the helicopter of the steel towers in their place for the East Village Express and Pinyon Express, part of the “Future Flying” event that provides a rare glimpse behind the scenes in the mountainous infrastructure in making.
Since December 2024, Deer Valley has installed 10 new elevators, many of which have already improved access to medium and beginners terrain in the expansion area.
We look forward
Winter 2025/26 represents the second important step in a multi -year project. Upon completion of the final stage, Deer Valley will extend more than 5700 acres – a size leap that you put among the largest continent resorts.
The development of the eastern village will also continue to grow, with luxury hotels, private housing and planned public facilities in cooperation with EXTell Development Company. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, which opened in late 2024, is already the village with slope accommodations, dining and conferences.
Future additions will include more five -star residence, expanded dining, and recreational offers throughout the year to heat the village of East as a destination in itself.
Stay honest to its roots
Despite all the change, the Deer Valley leadership is keen to emphasize that the distinctive features of the resort-the terrain skiing only, the covered daily ticket sales, and the service model is engraved after five-star hotels-are not going anywhere.
“This expansion is about giving guests more of what they love,” Bennett said. “It comes to diversity, ease of movement, and new experiences, while maintaining the quality that defined Deer Valley for decades.”
When the elevators begin to rotate in December, skiers will have a completely new side of the mountain to explore – and the experience is to be larger and better than ever.
