Ngorongoro preserving the one is the most unique and biological areas in Africa. It covers approximately 8,300 square kilometers in northern Tanzania, and is home to the world -famous Ngorongoro Creat Magazine, which is the old Caldera packed with wildlife that is also the UNESCO Heritage site. The hole is only part of the story – this area of memorization is the place where ecosystems collide, and history is included in the Earth, and some amazing animal meetings in Africa are revealed daily.

We visited NGORONGORO on a modern Tanzanian safari and we want to transfer our notes about the reason that it is a garden that must be visited on the northern Safari circuit.

Cart It is the largest uninterrupted dedira in the world. This natural runway was formed about two million years when a huge volcano collapsed, this natural runway extends 260 square kilometers and decreases more than 600 meters from the edge to the ground. Its unique geography creates a closed environmental system as a stunning variety of wildlife is flourishing.

When we fell to the Ngorongoro hole, I felt that we were entering Jurassic Park. Wildlife of every description of the pelvic wandering, with the exception of giraffes. The sharp proportions prevent these creatures that Knobby returns from reaching the floor of the valley.

For those who hope to see big cats at work, Ngorongoro does not disappoint. The hole is one of the best places in Africa that discover black, leopard and leopards. The lion’s residents are particularly noticeable for its high density, as some of the most openness in Tanzania are well and fearful. The cheetah wanders in the open plains, and if you are lucky, you may hunt until a tiger hanging in the Akassia tree.

We saw our first black in the wild in Nugurongoro. One by one, pride verifies the long grass surrounding the spring. They overcame a fallen tree, and then, as if it were by dirt, they left in an organized chase. We can see each muscle on a strong male as it draws his attention by our pocket with the implicit indifference of our existence.

    The last black -century stronghold

Ngorongoro is one of the few places where the black rhinoceros are still wandering freely in Tanzania. These endangered giants are far -reaching, but the hole provides a rare opportunity to see them in the wilderness. Their preference for open herbal lands sometimes means monitoring from a distance, which adds to the reputation of the preservation area as a resort to rare species.

The presence of a black -century is a testimony to the extent of protecting the hole from the fishermen. We have seen two groups, or perhaps the same group twice, as we led us a long episode around Lake Majadi, gatherings on the hole floor. It took our strongest perspectives to get it out, but we heard stories about the other visitors who saw them traveling near the garden roads.

    Elephant Paradise

Unlike the huge elephants found in Sirinigity, Nugurongoro is home to the largest unilateral elephants with some of the longest fangs in Africa. The adult Tuskers is often seen as a zigzag through the lerai forest, which is the lush Acacia Forest in the hole where it feeds on the leaves and bark. Because of the unjust fishing threats in other regions, Ngorongoro has become a vital haven for these majestic creatures.

We have already seen some huge bulls with huge centuries. However, the forests tended to be closer to the walls of the hole while the primary driving circle remained closer to Lake Majadi in the middle of the plains.

The hole and the surrounding highlands are the dream of monitoring birds, with more than 500 registered species. Flamingos adds vibrant spots from pink to soda lakes, while cranes crowned graceful over the plains. Raptor, like military eagles, rises above it, wipe the ground for prey, and inviting the African fish eagle in the air. Whether you are experienced or unofficial observer, the diversity of birds here is fascinated.

We spent nearly an hour on the beaches of Lake Magdy in watching Flamingus, turning on the fodder and spoon of food in shallow herbal lands.

    Masai and their immortal traditions

Ngorongoro is not only related to wildlife – it is also home to the Masai people, who lived in harmony with the earth for centuries. Unlike the national gardens in which human settlements are restricted, Masai continues to graze its livestock in the preservation area, while maintaining their traditional way of life. Al -Masai Village’s visit provides a glimpse into their culture, from vibrant beads to the famous Adumo (dance jump).

We did not visit the village of Masai, but our guide, Kathbar, said that his favorite village in both Tanzania was located in the Nugurongoro region for preservation.

    The oldest evidence of humanity

Some places in the world hold the same amount Archaeological importance such as ngorongoro. The nearby Olduvai corridor, which was called “Credle of Mankind”, has resulted in some of the oldest scattered excavations that I discovered at all. This is where the ancestors of the first person, including Homo Abelis, walked once. Visit the Olduvai Museum provides a great view of human development and scientific discoveries that have reshaped our understanding of history.

Olduvai Gorge is far and isolated, which is part of the reason that air fossils have been uncomfortable for thousands of years. The museum, on the other hand, is located in a suitable place on the main road that connects Ngorongoro to the SERENGETI National Garden.

    Various landscape outside the hole

While the hole is the main gravity, the area of maintaining Ngorongoro is much more than just Caldera. The area includes vast herbal lands, dense forests, and volcanic highlands that extend towards Serengietti. Craters Empakaai and OLMOTI, less well -known gemstones, offer a summary height with panoramic views and birds filled with birds. On the other hand, the Gul Mountains and the Salei Plains are far, ideal, and ideal for those looking for isolation and adventure.

We stopped to get the sunrise view from the hole from observing and traveling several hours via Bumpy Park Roads to reach the Serengeti National Park. The driving drive showed us the blatant contrast between fertile herbal lands inside the hole and arid pastures in Masai.

    Challenges to maintain efforts

With such a rich and varied ecosystem, the preservation of Ngorongoro is a continuous challenge. The balance between the protection of wildlife and the needs of the Masai people is sensitive. The efforts made to ensure that both nature and local societies will flourish from the anti -drafting initiatives to sustainable tourism programs. Visitors also play a role-by supporting an environmentally conscious hostel and respecting the Earth, they contribute to the long-term preservation of the region.

We spent tonight in Luxury escarpment LodgeSustainable environmental is located in Lake Manyara National Park, and he left to the hole in the first light. We have seen the coup for many other attractive hostels on the edge of the hole, but we were happy to choose.

A journey deserves to be taken

Visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Zone is no less than unusual. Whether you stare across the edge of the hole at sunrise, or the lion’s chase is revealed to the plains, or stands at the footsteps of the first human beings in Olduvai Gorge, every moment here is unforgettable. It is a place where nature, history and culture collide

Hello! We are Jin and Ed Coleman, nicknamed Coleman Conserge. In short, we are a Gen X couple whose Huntsville is sharing our stories about amazing adventures through the transformational and experimental travel that depends on the activity.
