What do you do when you find yourself in the middle of the road all over the world in Tanzania, tanning serotonin from your dreams, and you need to relax, yet Fumo screams for another adventure only? For us, the answer was clear.
We decided to go to the Mafia Island as a bonus adventure at the end of the tail at our Tanzanian safari trips. We traveled in the middle of the road all over the world and wanted to dive into the colored Indian ocean coral and swimming with whale sharks before going home, my God.
Safari left us at a significant altitude in animal gravity that cannot be affected by three pool trips in the small Cessnas. However, two nights fluctuating in a tropical stained tent with no AC has shine.
We have been emotionally and physically drained when we reached the electrode. Their dedication to rest and relaxation has recharged our souls, while their commitment to sustainability made our hearts smile.
Some say that the Mafia Island, like Zanzibar, was before its discovery.
Access to the pole
The pole means “slowly slowly” in Swahiliya, and describes appropriately the feeling of peace and contact with the nature we felt during our stay. The property is located at Chole in the center of the Mafia Island Marine Park.
It is a sustainable luxurious small resort with only nine bags, which certainly contributed to the care and attention we felt.
There is not much for the Mafia Island Airport, but you don’t have to worry about this because the electrode column arranges for you. All you have to do is appear and pay the garden entrance fees on the road. You are in the sponsorship of the pole from landing on the Mafia Island until you leave.
Access to the pole
Our arrival at Pole Pole was a welcome party with a logistical examination. Our host in the front garden met with welcome drinks and a fresh towel. They processed our information while updating from our trips and then worked on trips. Before we left, they did something else for us, made us smile. They gave us branded water bottles to re -fill the resort so that we do not create a waste with plastic for use.
Since we were planning to dive the next day, they arranged for us to go to the diving store to capture our equipment. The morning of early diving is always difficult, so we appreciate any stumbling block that we can get in our schedule.
Foundation
Our hosts gave us a quick tour of the ground on our way to Bangna on the beach. They have shown us the pool, which will be a basic rest within two weeks during the warm, wet season. After that, we walked across the spacious lands, with the massage temple noticing before we went to the beach beach between the coconut palm overlooking the Gulf of Chol.
Room
The path led us to a large private balcony with an endless small swimming pool overlooking the beach and a yard bar with stored refrigerator. We found the Zanzibari bed inside Villana lining up with Netwitting Netting that employees will spread during dinner. We liked huge bathing with moral sources, but we liked air conditioning after Glamping. We were definitely looking for a long and cold night sleep.
Beach
The beach came in the pole column with warnings – wearing shoes on the beach during the low tide to keep your feet cut on open creatures. The wide -ranging mangrove was growing on the wings, leaving about a third of the beach open to the ocean in the middle. We can imagine watching sunset from the beach beach, but we had no imagination of boat tours that start and stop on the beach.
We also realized that Bangna came with the symbol of fraud. We sat in our swimming pool every afternoon, and we look at the beach. Beautiful views. Cold and clean, fresh water. No sand and a private bar stored. Now, this is paradise with any definition!
Food
Pole Pole is a decline in full services that seeks to provide everything for a full holiday, including his restaurant, which offers three meals per day. They will pack you even a besieged lunch if you are out of an adventure. Everything was fresh and cooking to order, but we particularly liked our own experience to eat the ocean.
The food was fresh and delicious, but comfort and diversity were unacceptable. We also loved that tourist tourists came at night to help you plan the adventure the next day.
Swimming with whale sharks
October to March is the whale shark season on Mafia Island. Hundreds of whale sharks gather and feed near the surface in the marine mafia park. We have seen the pole column contracting with Kitu Kiblu to provide moral sharks for half a day.
Our experiences with Kito Kiblo were enormous. They did an excellent job in teaching the correct way to swim with these gentle giants. We only hope that all the tour organizers have followed their progress because chasing a frightening shark in the amazing Peloton of humanity is not perfect. However, when you can enter the water carefully and involve these beautiful creatures at their level, they are really a transformative adventure that remains in your soul.
Dive into the Chol Bay
When you think about diving in the destination, seycheselles and Maldives appear near the top of the list. Mafia Island is the first land to which it heads to the West from Seychelles and its home to a lot of the same biological diversity.
We loved Pick Aug on the beach and declined to dive while staying in the pole because it allows us to sleep in an additional hour on a diving day! The traces of the colored coral and the amazing dancer highlighted our diving, but we did not see the Nudibranchs that the Shun-Cheep said by DMS said was familiar to diving on the beach. If you are diver, you will desirable to dive into the mafia island.
Sunset Ho Cruz
Mafia Island shares historical relations in the Arabian Peninsula and was part of the Sultanate of Zanzibar until 1964. Dhows is traditional sailing ships with narrow and trilogy bodies, so our tour can be considered cultural. However, for us, it was easy to relax.
The pole packed cocktails, and we shared a drink with a wonderful German couple who came with us from the resort. The conversation was light and a copy, like the tropical winds that carried us through the water. We turned into the beach where the last light rays fell under the horizon, and the stars began to dance in the evening sky. We had enough light surrounding the landing on the beach of the pole and tracked the illuminated road for dinner. Employees prepared a special dinner to go to us, which was served at a private beach table.
I lost heaven
The pole pole reminded us of slowing down and enjoying the beauty of the world. We have filled our hearts and minds with the memories that carried us through chaotic travel to the homeland. Nothing in Dar Al Salam moves slowly or quietly, and Addis Ababa Airport feels like a race track when your soul is still at the time of the island. However, the memories of heaven and pure relaxation that live and dance in your dreams on the 18 -hour journey to the states make everything worthy.
