If you did not go to Tanzania, you may not hear about Arusha. It is a city between Jabal Kilimanaro and the Sirringiti National Park, which does not even contain an international airport. It is a fertile oasis on the rainy side of Mount Miro, the fifth largest in Africa to become a center for tourists and diplomats. The city features high-end hotels for distinguished guests who want a rest period before starting a large exploratory flight or as a base for Fly-in travel from Arusha Airport.
While there are many options in Arosha hotels, the five -star Gran Arsha is highlighted as the international travel awards at the leading Tanzania Hotel for four years in a row. While it is a famous business hotel, it is one of the most green hotels in Africa. We have recently had an opportunity to stay in Gran Meliá Arusha and I would like to invite you to take a tour of the property with us.
One of the largest swimming pools in Africa
When we first entered Gran Meliá Arusha, we knew that we were in a five -star hotel, from the front services to clean and clean classic design. When looking at the huge pool to Mount Miro, we felt that we were in the oasis of a garden. However, the longer we remain, and the deeper we look, the more we realize the most points that make this drug very sustainable.
We wandered in the swimming pool and took in his glorious outlook on Mount Miro while Porter took our bags to our room. We have noticed abundant umbrellas and chairs for solar shower, but although the pool was heated, we were not ready to decrease and go to swimming. We went to see our room after our short tour.
Comfortable rooms
The first thing we noticed about our room is how it appeared clean and modern. However, as we investigated more, we realized all the hidden assessments. We have found green touches such as pens made of recycled newspapers, a wooden toothbrush, bamboo straw and a very small number of elements with a single use. Even the coffee grown and roasted on the floor and was breeded with water from a pure glass tanker in the hotel. We have noticed something else that would help us comfort easily, a pillow library to ensure sweet dreams.
Farm to a roof table above tape
After a mixture of discharge, coffee and hot shower, we feel fresh and ready to continue to roam the ground. As the proverb says, starting from the top until we go to the surface bar. Of course, the views are incredible, but we realized the foundations.
The list boasted about many specializations on the farm to the table, but we have not yet been hungry. We noticed special offers for the happy hour and put a mental note to return. However, the gardens and agricultural houses that we saw from the eyes of our bird told us that it was time to travel on the garden road.
Linter scene
I opened the elevators next to the swimming pool entrance, so we went out from the outside again. This time, we ventured after the pool. A small stream was wounded behind the swimming pool area decorated with colored flowers. Small trees and banana plants formed a wallpaper to the scene.
We were lured to believe that this architectural engineering in the landscape was just a Zina garden to complete the swimming pool experience. However, the paths leading to the hill reminded us of what extent the gardens went until we continued to explore.
Coffee
We are lucky while photographing a particularly attractive banana factory, one of the gardeners at the hotel offered to show us around us. If you do not feel confident in your luck, you can reserve many garden tours and cooking in the reception office. The first important conspiracy to us is the coffee shrub that was planted up and down the slopes. Our guide highlighted the full coffee coffee cycle, starting with small white flowers and finishing with red beans ready to harvest.
After seeing the plants, we took the back of the gardens where the coffee magic occurred. He explained how the skinny white fruit appears from the cover and spread it on a dry air screen. He insisted that in three days, these small hill balls dry as ready for roasting.
Al -Wafil Gardens
Our guide was very proud of his work and showed us an impatient gardens of herbs and vegetables. There were model African plants like okra growing well, but it is surprising that cold weather crops such as cauliflower were also flourishing in protected shadow homes. He pointed to the organic gardening tactics such as marigolds in the family to combat natural pests and a large -scale rainwater collection system.
What surprised us most is a chicken house that provides the hotel with fresh meat and eggs. Not only was the farm to the table in Gran Meliá Arusha, but was completely confiscated. All chefs need to do is connecting to Gardner for delivery delivered without any waste.
SANA workshop
Our garden tour has ended in Sanaa workshop where the disabled artists create a unique letter of recycled waste. We met a new guide at the entrance and was keen to give us a tour. We have visited more than ten “departments” with different teams of craftsmen. We can say that everyone is proud of his work and valued the opportunities they allowed them.
We have realized the blown glass from the accessories we saw in our room. Others, uniquely created from the artifacts in Tanzania, such as the jewelry sculpted from sources of livestock instead of elephants. Like many places, our tour has ended in the gift store where we can buy anything we have seen created. He kept the limits of weight to our memorial collection to the minimum, but the delicious smells of the neighboring garden café were very attractive.
Garden
Garden Cafe is located next to the Sanaa workshop at the back of the hotel garden. We chose the yard seats so that we can immerse the garden calmly. We wanted to test new delights from the farm to the table, so we chose a pot of fresh vegetables and roasted chicken, which was more delicious than it seemed due to the superior food quality. We returned to our room with hearts and full stomachs.
Modern experimentation facility
We stopped to the modern Gran Melia gym on the way back to our room to work on some cells from travel. We have found a lot of free machines and weights for any exercise we imagined, but most importantly for us, they had a lot of yoga stones for expansion. We have noticed that the professional spa is next to the gym and they were seduced by reservations. However, despite the consumption of abundant coffee, it is time to nap before dinner.
A new buffet
We went to the basement for dinner after sleeping our beauty. As you expect, everything was exploding with freshness from the farm to the table. The European and African Specializations Group has seduced us to continue filling our paintings, but we wanted to provide space for the delicious desert schedule. Jin was particularly happy with desert shows because there was a wide -ranging in a gluten -free section that carefully separates other dishes.
Breakfast was equally impressive, with fresh European colds, bread and cheese along with fresh farms prepared in any style you want. We have been keen to request Lattes from the inner coffee farm as well as get seconds on new juices from the garden.
Great Levg Millie Harosh
After breakfast, we met our guide, Cathbert, in the hallway. Our guide and our driver will be on the next four nights on an amazing Tanzanian safari with Altezza travel. He arranged for us to be trapped lunch packages from breakfast buffet before heading to the Tanzanian countryside. In some respects, our stay in Gran Melia Arosha was very short. We had no time for spa treatments or participating in their cultural trips. However, it was so calm and good that we have never wanted to leave the foundations, comfort and ready to start our adventures in Tanzania.
Hello! We are Jin and Ed Coleman, nicknamed Coleman Conserge. In short, we are a Gen X couple whose Huntsville is sharing our stories about amazing adventures through the transformational and experimental travel that depends on the activity.
