Individually, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley are among the largest ski resorts in America. Together, they create a ski utopia featuring hundreds of trails, delicious restaurants, and the charm of an old mining town in historic downtown Park City.
There's plenty to do when visiting this gorgeous mountain destination, plus even more places to stay. It also includes the best accommodations in downtown Park City and some budget hotels off the mountain that are still very nice and have good ski access. Deer Valley Ski / Ski-out areas
Deer Valley Ski Resort is located at the top of the valley and is the farthest you can drive in the winter. However, it is only 45 minutes from Salt Lake Airport (without traffic). It is an upscale resort known for its Deer Valley Difference, which includes industry-leading grooming services and luxurious accommodations.
Deer Valley Resorts is Deer Valley's largest property manager, with over 400 unique room options, ranging from apartment style accommodation to spacious residences with 4+ bedrooms. Additionally, booking through Deer Valley gives you access to on-demand car service and the ability to configure ski and lodging packages. Remember to get your lift tickets early because accommodations are booked out no Warranty availability.
In general, you have three areas to choose from. The Snow Park area is located at the base of the mountain and has the best access to downtown Park City. Silver Lake is located mid-mountain, with many culinary offerings and great skiing at Ski Beach/The Sticky Wicket. Empire Canyon is the highest area, with luxurious accommodations and the best access to first chair powder while the rest of the skiers make their way to the top of the lifts.
The lodge is in Deer Valley
There are three day-use lodges in Deer Valley: Snow Park, Silver Lake, and Empire Canyon, but this is an article about accommodations, so we're mentioning them in passing since you can't stay there. There are also several ski-in/ski-out chalets with “lodge” in their name, which you can book from the links in the previous section. This section covers The Lodges at Deer Valley, Silver Baron Lodge and a few rental properties below Snow Park Lodge.
These properties do not have ski-in/ski-out access, but it is easy to reach the slopes by taking the Snow Park skier bus or taking on-demand transportation to the top of the mountain. The hostel And Silver Baron It also has covered parking and ski storage, but Deer Valley offers a free ski check, so you don't have to lug your skis with you every day. They also have a breakfast buffet and large heated pools and hot tubs open throughout the winter. Deer Valley makes it really easy to plan a car-free ski vacation.
Deer Valley luxury hotels
Deer Valley has three true luxury hotels: St. Regis, Stein EriksenAnd Produced by. These properties are gorgeous from top to bottom, with all the amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel, including indoor spas, large pools, hot tubs, and ski-in/ski-out access. Each property has a slightly different car/shuttle service since they are not operated by Deer Valley Resort.
The St. Regis is a Marriott property and features 181 guest rooms, six restaurants and a funicular from the hotel to Snow Park Lodge. St. Regis is directly behind the Deer Hollow Ski Trail, which offers guests ski-in/ski-out access across Little Baldy Mountain to Deer Valley Resort. The resort's complimentary house cars operate 7 days a week within Park City boundaries.
Stein Eriksen Lodge has 180 rooms, with more lodging options available at nearby Stein Eriksen Residences. The World Ski Awards named the property the best ski boutique hotel in the world for 2023. It features eight restaurants, including the signature Alpen Globes restaurant, the Glitretind restaurant and the Troll Hallen lounge. There is also a free shuttle service to Park City. Its location in the middle of the mountain allows direct entry and exit to the Silver Lodge area.
The Montage is a 220-room luxury hotel with ski-in/ski-out access to Empire Canyon. Five dining options range from their signature restaurant, Apex, to Slope Stream, which features fun and casual al fresco dining from an Airstream trailer. They've partnered with Cadillac to offer chauffeured rides, which is great considering how difficult it is to park a car in Park City. They also have a Ride and Drive experience where guests can borrow vehicles to explore Park City and the surrounding Wasatch Mountains.
Ski-in/ski-out hotels in Park City
This next section gets a little tricky with definitions because Park City Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in America, with three separate and distinct core areas: Mountain Village, Canyon Village, and downtown Park City. We'll cover each one individually, starting with Mountain Village because that's what most people traditionally think of when they hear Park City Mountain Resort. This was Park City's main base area before joining Canyons Resort in 2015.
There are two Ski-in/ski-out hotels in Park City at Mountains Village, Marriott Mountainside And the He stayed in the mountain village. Both are beautiful three-star hotels with pools, hot tubs and easy access to restaurants in Mountain Village. It's not quite as luxurious as Deer Valley, but then again, there are a few things. If you have a collection of Marriott points, owning a branded property in Park City is excellent. With enough points and an EPIC Pass, you can ski for free in Park City (or Deer Valley with the correct IKON Pass).
There are two other properties near Mountain Village that are worth mentioning because they are within walking distance: Chateau after lodge And Sweetwater Lift Lodge Resort. Staying here will free you from the hassle of parking or taking the shuttle bus to the crowded base area. It's also only a half-mile walk up the hill to downtown, which is definitely easier than finding a parking spot.
Hotels in Canyons Park City Resort
Vail Resorts invested heavily in Canyons Village Resort because it realized it was sitting on a gold mine. Unlike Mountain Village, there was enough room to grow without bumping into the ski slopes or historic downtown. As a result, Canyons Village has many ski-in and ski-out options and more restaurants.

Residence in downtown Park City
Our ultimate ski-in/ski-out hotels in Park City are located around the often overlooked Town Lift base area. If you're comfortable skiing blue, you can ski right through downtown Park City to the Town Lift base area. This stay is all about location, location, location, as you are in the heart of the historic downtown next to world-class dining, shopping and nightlife in this adorable little mountain town.

Park City hotels
If you're looking for more bang for your buck, consider staying at a Park City hotel without ski-in/ski-out access. Don't worry – most, if not all, major hotels have shuttle buses to Park City (Mountain Village Base Area) and Deer Valley (Snow Park Base Area) during the day and to downtown Park City at night. They also don't tend to nickel and dime resort fees and parking.

- Sheraton Park City: Great value accommodation with on-site Timbers restaurant
Kimball Junction hotels
Staying at Kimball Junction is the most economical ski trip in Park City Across the board. Free parking is plentiful at local hotels, restaurants and the Canyon Village Base Area. Also, the area's restaurants are not as expensive (or luxurious). they In Park City or Deer Valley.
Also, since you're right off I-80, you don't have to worry as much about your 4×4 rental in case of snow as you would if you stayed up the mountain. Most hotels here will not provide a shuttle to downtown Park City, but the free Main Street Express bus leaves every 15-30 minutes from the Kimball Junction Transit Center to Main Street Park City.

The best place to stay in Park City depends on where you ski and your level of luxury. If you're paying Deer Valley day rates, you'll want luxury accommodations on the mountain. If you want to ski with your IKON pass, consider staying off the mountain in Park City and taking advantage of the hotel's shuttle service to get to Deer Valley. You can also drive from Kimball Junction and take advantage of Deer Valley's free parking.
If you're skiing at Park City Mountain Resort, you'll find hotels for every budget, from Ski Bum to Snow Princess. However, if you're the type who likes après ski and shopping all the time on the slope, consider access to Main Street Park City. It's a wonderful, charming city with a parking problem, but even so, it's very easy to get around without a car with a wide range of reliable and affordable transport options.
