Kevin Richard Martin, aka The Bug, and Joseph Camaro, aka KMRU, have announced a new collaborative album titled KRM & KMRU. Disconnect It will be released on June 14 via Phantom Limb. Listen to the new single “Differ” below.
Martin became aware that KMRU was “watching the 2020 short documentary.” under the bridge“, according to a press release. “Which, apart from finding Joseph's vocal and musical style immediately impressive, I also found his spoken voice to have a captivating, harmonious and tonal quality, with its smooth tone.”
“The album arose from exploring a text I wrote while studying vocal arts, and delving deeper into the complexities of the other,” Camaro explained. “The project was a response to Audre Lorde’s idea that differences should be embraced as a dynamic force within humanity, rather than viewed as a potential threat.”
