Studio71 has signed an exclusive ad sales agreement with the pop culture podcast “Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald.” The media company will sell advertising and brand partnerships across audio and video.
The podcast is hosted by comedian Heather MacDonald, who has released comedy specials on Prime Video, Netflix, and Showtime. MacDonald delves into pop culture with her podcast — from all things Hollywood, celebrity romances, Bravo TV and even real-life drama. Juicy Scoop has produced over 800 episodes and achieved over 200 million downloads.
“With the worlds of pop culture and comedy moving faster than ever before, I’m so excited to partner with Studio71 to get my podcast to more ears and eyeballs,” MacDonald said in a press release. “Whether it's commenting on the craziest celebrity news or expanding the 'Juicy Scoop' theme into new, unexplored territory, I can't wait for what's next.”
MacDonald wrote, produced and appeared on “Chelsea Lately.” She also starred in the mockumentary series “After Lately.” She also had featured roles in the Wayans Brothers' “White Chicks” and “Dance Flicks.” She has been seen on “Watch What Happens Live”, “The Bachelorette”, “Wendy Williams”, “Nightline”, “25 Words or Less”, “Punchline”, “RuPaul's Drag Race”, “The Tonight Show”, “Keeping Up The Kardashian Family” and more.
Studio 71 has over 100 creator-led shows that produce podcasts in both audio and video formats. Some other podcasts on the network include “Wild 'Til 9 with LaurDIY and Jeremy Lewis” and “The Bald and The Beautiful with Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova.”
“Heather brings a unique and distinctive voice to her podcast that highlights pop culture news and zeitgeist topics,” Studio71's Craig Jordan, senior vice president of podcast brand partnerships, said in a statement. “This podcast delivers the perfect demographic of highly engaged audiences desired by brands and advertisers.”
