Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says he's tired of the woke culture on Fox News

In news that can only be described as “WTF, Dwayne?” – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed he won't endorse anyone for president this year and his reasons may shock you.

Small Town Horror Story: The Murder of Ayana Mo Nai Stanley Jones

talk in Fox News (???) interview with Will KaneJohnson made clear that he would not publicly support any political candidate before the 2024 election because of the “divisiveness” he claimed he caused when he endorsed Joe Biden in 2020.

“The endorsement I did years ago for Biden was a decision I thought was the best decision for me at the time. And I thought, “I'm in this position where I have some influence and I felt like it was my job then to exercise my influence.” [and] Share: This is the one I would support. “I wouldn't do that,” Johnson said. “I was then, the most followed man in the world, and I am today. And I appreciate that. But what it caused was something that was tearing me up in my gut, which was division. This happened to me. I didn't realize it at the time. I felt like there was a lot of turmoil and I wanted things to calm down.” .

Ummm. Some quick questions, Dwayne: “Division” between whom? What exactly were they divided over?

    He continued:

“The takeaway after that is that it has caused an incredible amount of division. I realize now that I'm running this election, and I'm not going to do that. My goal is to unify this country. I believe in that. There will be no endorsements. At this level of influence, I will keep my politics to myself.” “It's between me and the ballot box. But I will tell you this: Like many of us out there, I don't trust all politicians. I trust the American people and whoever they vote for is my president and who I will support 100 percent.”

Later, when asked whether or not he was happy with the country's current situation, the “Red Notice” actor answered in the negative, citing “today's cancel culture and woke culture.”

“Today’s cancel culture, woke culture, divisiveness, etc. — that’s what really bothers me,” Johnson explained. “In the spirit of that, you either give in to that and be what other people want you to be, or you can be yourself and be real…and that might piss people off and make people angry, and that's okay.

Oof. Again, real quick – I have a few more questions: What the hell do you mean by “woke culture?” Can you even define what “waking up” means? Can you define it precisely? Do you know where this term originated and how it has been unfairly and inaccurately distorted?

Perhaps more importantly, can you smell the BS I just cooked up in this interview, Dwayne? Because readers, viewers, and fans sure will. There's a difference between being yourself and being intentionally narcissistic, racist, divisive, aggressively discriminating, and intentionally ignorant and making people angry because of it.

There's also a difference in wanting to reflect the world, those in power and policies, and empower the diverse people who make up the population of this country and whatever “woke culture” bullshit some other people are trying to create. Breaking news: No. With such a huge platform as the “Jumanji” star, it would do well for Johnson to think twice before spewing out some bombastic terms lest it fan the flames of the very divisiveness he claims to be so frustrated with.
