NEW DELHI: Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday attacked Mallikarjun Karge's “Kashmir se kya waasta hai” remark in reference to the BJP raising the issue of abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution in Rajasthan, saying it was shameful for a Congress president to ask such a question that reflects “Italian culture”. “For his party because of which he cannot see the idea of India itself.
“I would like to remind the Congress party that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, and every state and citizen has a right to Jammu and Kashmir, just as the people of Jammu and Kashmir have a right to the rest of India,” Shah said. X to respond to an output note.
Shah and other BJP leaders, including party president JP Nadda, shared a clip of a speech taken out on X, where he was heard targeting the BJP for talking about removing Article 370 in Rajasthan. “Is bhai, yahan ki login se kya wasta hai (what does it have to do with people here)?” Kharj is heard asking in the clip.
Shah said that the Congress does not know that many brave sons of Rajasthan sacrificed their lives for peace and security in Kashmir. “But this is not just the fault of the Congress leaders. It is the Italian culture of the Congress Party that is mostly responsible for not understanding the idea of India itself,” the Home Minister said. He added, “Such statements harm every patriot.” A citizen who cares about the unity and safety of the nation. The people will certainly submit their response to Congress.”
Shah also said: “And for the good information of Congress, it was not Article 371, but Article 370, which was abrogated by the Modi government. However, it is only expected that Congress would make such terrible mistakes. Such huge mistakes that it did.” “It has haunted our nation for decades.”
Nadda criticized Kharge's remarks, saying: “Another day, another gem from the Congress! Kharji displays the typical Congress mentality that wanted Jammu and Kashmir to remain separate from the rest of India. He does not even know that the Article in question is the Article.” 370, not 371!”
