Stablecoin issuer Tether today announced a major award of $100,000 to the BTCPay Server Foundation, underscoring Tether's strong support of the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) movement and underscoring its commitment to advancing digital payment solutions, the company said.

The BTCPay Server Foundation is best known for its open source payment processor software, which is used and customized by many merchants and businesses globally to accept Bitcoin and USDt payments on Liquid. The Foundation's Tether grant reflects its recognition of the pivotal role of free and open source software in driving technological progress and democratizing access to cutting-edge technologies.
