Molly Darragh – the project of Montreal-based artist Michael Charles Hansford – has announced a new album titled Mammoth. Follow up until 2021 Similar to another It arrives May 24 via I'm Into Life Records. Today's announcement comes with the release of the new song “Dogfight” which opens the LP. Give it a listen below.
“‘Dogfight’ was originally a slow song that I started writing a year before I started recording it,” Hansford said in a statement. “Late at night before the album sessions started, I decided to speed it up twice without changing the timing structure of the vocal melody. I was listening to a lot of The Smiths songs at the time, so I think that had an influence. Lyrically this song is about two lovers drifting apart Some but remain in each other's thoughts throughout their long lives.
