The decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK) outpaces all other cryptocurrency projects in terms of recent development activity, according to analytics firm Santiment.
saint Notes Chainlink is at the top of the list with an average of 451.23 notable events on GitHub over the past 30 days.
Smart contract platform Cardano (ADA) comes in second, with 444.7 events, while Status (SNT) takes third place with 434.5 events.
Status aims to provide users with a secure messaging app, crypto wallet, and web3 browser via an open source, peer-to-peer protocol, and end-to-end encryption.
Ethereum (ETH) layer 2 scaling solution Optimism (OP) is in fourth place with 411 notable events, while the decentralized public network Hedera (HBAR) is in fifth place with 378.73.
Santiment notes that it does not account for routine updates and uses a “better methodology” to collect data for GitHub events based on a “pre-tested process.”
The analytics firm previously said that intense development activity centered around the cryptocurrency project is a positive indicator that could mean developers believe the protocol will be successful. It also indicates that the project is unlikely to be an exit scam.
LINK is trading at $18.31 at the time of writing. The cryptocurrency asset, which ranked fifteenth in terms of market capitalization, fell by 1.31% in the past 24 hours.
