“For me, getting reminders is a flash of light, a domino effect of emotions from a simple reminder, like an image, or a word, or when we encounter love, that suddenly frees our minds,” vocalist Kasper Clausen explained in a statement. “Indeed, I feel a dark, highly politicized force tearing us apart, across land and culture. I feel like reminding myself that there is a landscape that lives among us all, where we are free to cross and meet each other.”
“We took 'Getting Reminders' with us on our trip to North Macedonia for the Makedonium Band, where the song really started to take shape, find resonance, and become a sort of mystical communication tool,” Clausen added. We would play it in front of a lot of people there, from shy teenagers to a confident president, and perform it with local musicians in front of their Freedom Monument; Macedonia (Ilinden Monument).”
Efterklang released last time Plexiglass EP in 2022. Their most recent album was 2021 Wind flowers.
