Raipur: Captivating Theatrical performance A film titled 'Amchu Bastar' depicting the jungle, local life and rich folklore was organized by Kangaroo Ghati National Park on Thursday in BastarJagdalpur Art Gallery. The play is directed by famous theater director Rajkumar Nayak.
Highlighting its unique depiction of the tribe's vibrant culture and forest sustainability efforts was a unique initiative by the forest department for the first time in Bastar division, Kanger Valley National Park Director Damshil Janveer told TOI. Through this, they aimed for recognition Conservation efforts Done by the community and also photographed Forest sustainability.
The works included representing the vibrant aspects of the traditions and folk tales of Bastar through theatre, with the aim of communicating the lifestyle and nature of the region to a wider audience. A 15-day workshop was conducted in Jagdalpur where more than 30 local artists received training.
The play'Imcho BastarThey were derived primarily from traditional folk tales. The lead cast included Vikram Soni, Lakshmi Kashyap, Bharat Gangaditya, Dheeraj Kashyap, Jainendra Singh, Parth Acharya, Bhumika Nishad, Nupur Mahanandi Maniketan Nag, Krishna Khatun Kumar, Anjali Behra, Sushila Baghel Hemlata, Amar Pandey, Ruksana Khatun, Gitanjali, Solta. Maharana, Savita Devangan, Divya Das, Rajni Upadhyay, and Shashi Baghel.
Local artists enacted the performances.
Additionally, Bharat Kumar Gangaditya, Rinku Burai and Lakshmi Kodikal have composed the songs and provided vocals, while Vishal Singh Thakur, Akash Tiwari and Rahul Rekwar handle the musical instruments. Avinash Prasad contributed to the live broadcast. Gujral Singh Baghel, Yugal Joshi, Suman Bhaskar and forest department officials were present for support. He added that Apratim Jha and GS Manmohan managed the stage.
The play aims to show how the tribal communities of Bastar are closely connected to the forests, and to reach out to people across the country and the world.
