Kelly Moran has released a new single titled “Sodalis (II)” from her upcoming album Moving in the field. It's a remake of her 2020 song “Sodalis” which was featured on Field Works Ultrasound Released by Temporary Residence, the collection was reimagined with a Yamaha Disklavier. It comes along with a live performance video directed by Yuan Liu with creative director Catherine Anton. Check it out below.

“‘Sodalis’ was initially written as a piece for prepared piano, and has evolved into a delicate, delicate duet for me and the pianist,” Moran explained in a statement. “To create this version, I recorded a solo arrangement of the piece on the pianist, then orchestrated harmonies and patterns that intertwined with my parts and danced around the full range of the piano. Composing this piece was an exploration of making the piano sound as rich, resonant and emotional as possible. This was my first arrangement I did it for my music for a pianist, and the creative possibilities of the process made me realize that this was the right direction for my album.

Moving in the field It will be released on March 29 via Warp.
