Aside from the human suffering during the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, what is at stake when Palestinian culture dating back centuries is erased?
From the destruction of cultural centers like the century-old archive building in Gaza, to the targeted killing of artists like the famous poet Rifaat Al-Arir, Israel is erasing aspects of Palestinian culture in its ongoing war over the besieged territories. But what exactly is at stake when a centuries-old culture is erased, and what are Palestinian artists doing to preserve what remains?
