“Conexión Ancestral is about starting the journey towards establishing a relationship with another part of my roots,” Tropical explained in a statement. “For me, this is connecting with my Indigenous ancestors and the ancestral knowledge I carry through loving and listening to the land, its Indigenous stewards, and in turn with myself and my community. It is about being willing to sacrifice everything I have ever known in order to have the opportunity to exchange and trust with the land, and allowing this The relationship is to be my guide towards belonging.
