Raindrops fall on a pond in a southwest Portland park in early spring.

If you have plans to spend a weekend outdoors in the Portland area, be prepared to get wet.

Saturday will start raining until 4 p.m., with rain and thunderstorms possible after that, according to the National Meteorological Directorate. The maximum temperature will be around 52 degrees. Rainfall between 1/10 and 1/4 inch is expected with significant amounts possible in the event of thunderstorms. The chance of thundershowers will continue until 10pm with more rain expected after that.

Sunday there will be more rain with a high temperature around 50 degrees. Rainfall again is expected between 1/10 and 1/4 inch.

The work week will start with more of the same – showers and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s through Wednesday. If you're tired of clouds and rain, focus on Thursday, which looks like it will be mostly sunny with a high near 59 degrees.
