    High winds, heavy rain and possible snow trigger a preliminary weather alert day in Pittsburgh

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Today is First weather alert day With high winds and heavy rain totaling about 1 inch for most.

    Temperatures will be moderate and steady in the 50s to mid 50s.

    there Wind warning For Fayette Hills, Westmoreland, Indiana and all of Somerset County along with Garrett Maryland until 2:00 a.m. Monday with wind gusts up to 50 mph.

    There is, too Winter weather warning to 2:00 a.m. Monday for Mercer, Venango, Forrest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong, Indiana Co., Hills and Laurel Highlands, where 2-5 inches of snow is possible through the day Sunday.

    Overnight lows return to the low 30s which will be cold enough to support rain turning to snow showers. Don't forget that we lose an hour of sleep, but we will have more daylight in the evening.

    Sunday will be a windy day with scattered snow showers. Visibility can be an issue while traveling on roads sometimes.

    After that, it becomes mostly sunny Monday with highs in the upper 40s.

    Above normal temperatures return Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 60s and mostly sunny!
