Joe Biden broke his silence on Laken Riley's killing during his State of the Union address after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene confronted him.
Riley, 22, was killed by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela on the University of Georgia campus last month.
Greene attended the State of the Union address wearing a T-shirt that said “Say Her Name” and “Lake Riley.”
The state of the union is Laken-Riley.

When Biden walked in to give the speech, Greene handed him a button with Reilly's name on it.
MTG: “Lakin Riley. Say her name.”
Biden: “I know how to say her name.”
Then he turns his back and walks away.

Biden proved during his speech that he actually did not know how to pronounce her name, referring to her as “Lincoln Riley.”

“Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman was murdered by an illegal person. correct. But how many thousands of people have been killed by illegal immigrants? I say to her parents: My heart is with you, because I lost my children. “I understand,” Biden said.
Republican Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia invited Riley's parents to attend SOTU, but they declined.
“I invited Lakin Riley’s parents to attend the State of the Union address, but it is understandable that they chose to stay home as they grieve the loss of their daughter,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “My guest’s seat will therefore remain vacant to honor Laken and all American victims of illegal foreign crimes.”

“As Joe Biden tries to paint a rosy picture of the crime-plagued country he created, he will be looking at an empty seat commemorating those we have lost to his open border policies,” Collins continued.
