The joys of the big blue cities. New York City is set to bring in the National Guard to combat the subway's rampant crime wave.
Critic Portal Reports:
New York Governor Kathy Hochul unveiled a new plan to deploy 750 National Guard members in a desperate attempt to combat rampant crime plaguing New York City's subway system.
On Wednesday, Hochul announced a new five-point plan that will deploy 750 members of the National Guard, 250 New York State officers, and additional MTA officers to curb the spike in crime that regularly occurs at New York City subway stations.
Hochul's new order adds to the 1,000 NYPD officers already stationed in subway stations across New York City's five boroughs.
Michael Kemper, head of the NYPD's Transportation Division, revealed that arrests in the New York City subway system are up 45% from 2023.
At the news conference, Hochul did not mention U.S. Marine Corps vet Daniel Penny, who was charged with second-degree manslaughter after Jordan Neely was placed in a chokehold for threatening people on a New York City subway train, which led to Neely's death.
Penny's arrest led many New Yorkers to stop helping those who were victims of crime due to fear of being accused of committing a crime themselves.
The left's stupid policies bring with them painful consequences. Democrats are running our nation's cities into unlivable nightmares for the average American.
What happened to defunding the police? How did this idea work? Time and time again we see these ideas being implemented. Every time their lives are ruined and yet they keep trying again.
We are told it is racist and authoritarian to crack down on lawlessness when Donald Trump says we need law and order. Now that Democrats have made their bed, they don't want to lie in it. If it weren't for the double standards, they wouldn't have standards at all.
