A Western Disturbance, a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerlies, is expected to occur along Long. 60°E north of Lat. 30 degrees north. This will result in light to moderate to scattered rain/snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh and isolated rain/snowfall over Uttarakhand from March 6 to 7.
Moreover, a cyclonic circulation in the lower tropospheric levels over interior Odisha and adjoining areas will bring scattered rainfall over Odisha from March 6 to 8, and over the sub-Himalayan region of West Bengal and Sikkim during March 7 to 9.
Another trough in westerly winds is expected in the lower tropospheric levels along Long. 93°E north of Lat. 25 degrees north. This will result in light to moderate to scattered rain/snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh during the next seven days.
Finally, hot and humid weather is expected to prevail over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and Kerala over the next two days. Moreover, daytime temperatures are very likely to drop below the seasonal average in the northern half of India over the next few days, especially 8°C cooler than normal in some areas of north and central India until Wednesday.
