Sunny and warm Wednesday afternoon. Severe weather risk Friday
Sunny and warm Wednesday afternoon
Our toes. We love it. Okay, now we move on to the weather in our forecast. Beautiful sun after all that rain. Derek. Beautiful sky up there. But they are. It won't last very long. Yes. Randy won't last long. Because enjoy these next few days. We've got big changes. As we get closer to Friday, we'll talk about that later. But for now enjoy this beautiful view we see here from New Orleans. We got crystal clear blue skies, lots of sunshine and very comfortable temperatures too. In fact, check out our current readings. We're mainly in the 70s, even sliding in a little warmer than some of us in. 81 degrees. Meanwhile, Keener is 72 years old. Hammond is currently at 76. Our high temperatures this afternoon today are climbing into the mid to upper 70s, and some of us are hitting the low 80s here today. So, in terms of weather, we are under the influence of this weak area of high pressure in the atmosphere. This is why things seem so calm and… Generally quiet and sunny here at the moment. Now, as we take you into tonight, we still expect mostly clear skies to develop. We may see some increase. There are a few clouds as we head into tomorrow, and as we head into tomorrow night, we'll be looking at a south-easterly wind movement taking shape. This can help increase our cloud coverage a little more. Now as we head into Friday, this is where the biggest changes will happen. Down the road, you could see some scattered showers, possibly some thunderstorms early Friday. In front of this cold front that moves in around 2:00 p.m. You can see some scattered showers and thunderstorms moving across southeastern Louisiana. This continues as we head into Friday afternoon, and also into Friday night. A few lingering showers and storms probably can't be completely ruled out as this cold front approaches us and advances ahead of us. This is where we'll see the majority of our moisture here behind the cold front, where a lot of cold air is moving in and conditions will be a little drier for us to work with as well. But some of those thunderstorms can have some big hailstones, some damaging winds, which is why we're below that level. There are a couple of slight risks of severe weather here for Friday and not in addition to that either. We are looking at a slight risk of flooding here in Southeast Louisiana. So, that's something to take into consideration here as well. This is a level two risk here in terms of flooding as well. So the rain forecast doesn't look particularly impressive. But this does not mean that we will not necessarily see floods. It just shows that during Saturday we could get closer to about a half inch or more. And in some sites. And I'm sure that will probably change here as we get closer to the forecast. But in the meantime, this weekend, after those storms pass, we're looking a lot cooler here and a high pressure area to the west will start to build here as well. On Sunday. So, that will help give us generally calm weather conditions so we can work as we head into Monday, and also into your day on Tuesday. Good. Another thing I want to point out to you is that we may be turning a little hazy here as we head into Thursday morning. We have some dense fog that could develop across parts of the South Shore heading into the early morning Thursday. That could impact your morning commute, and then, as you can see by 11 a.m. on Thursday, we're much better here. Regarding fog, the first warning from WDSU, the seven-day forecast looks like this with high temperatures staying into the 70s. A good 60% chance of rain for Friday. We have an initial weather impact warning from WDSU that could be upgraded to a warning day, even though it is Friday. If conditions worsen, we will keep you updated. Don't forget to change the time. This weekend and the next, bhai
