Pillow Queens has dropped another preview of their new album Name your sadness – Will be released on April 19 – with the song “Like a Lesson”. The track follows previous cuts “Gone” and “Suffer.” Listen to it below.

“The idea of finding safety and comfort in the presence of joyful love is emphasized, in contrast to the paralyzing fear of making mistakes or ruining your life or someone else’s life,” the band said in a statement about the new song. “It delves into the feeling of being someone's lesson, a side character in someone else's story.”

“Sonically, we were influenced by a range of artists from Blur and REM to Seminsonic, New Radicals and Squeeze,” they continued. “It started out as a song that we felt had a strong country music influence and turned into something that referenced a wide range of our musical tastes. It's the '90s soft rock song on the album.
