North Shore bar and kitchen updated in the future
Last year, North Shore Bar & Kitchen, located at 301 N New York Ave in North Wildwood, was under construction.
In an open letter posted on Facebook, owner Ryan wanted to be as transparent as possible in explaining what was happening with the business since a lot of people were asking when it would reopen since it wasn't open last summer.
Detailing the arduous rebuilding journey plagued by setbacks and legal entanglements, he candidly shared the obstacles that delayed the reopening.

The letter describes the difficulties faced by the previous contractor, Plaza Construction, and its owners, whose behavior hindered progress and directly affected the timely completion of the rebuilding process.
However, in October 2023, RDM Construction Services was brought in to correct the problems caused by the Plaza. Construction is expected to resume in early January 2024.
Since construction was underway, it was found that they had to go back to the Planning Board because the additional 36 seats on the second floor were not included in the initial plans even though they were supposed to be in the original plans submitted.
Despite efforts to expedite the process of joining the Planning and Zoning Board, the earliest they could get a meeting date was February 21, 2024.
Due to delays in approvals, North Shore will not open again for Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day Weekend, Beach Blast, and possibly July 4, 2024.

As for the future of North Shore Bar & Kitchen, this is what he had to say;
“As for the future of North Shore, with me now facing the reality of losing revenue for half of the 2024 season which will result in losing staff and entertainment again, I am in no rush to commit to anything at the moment.”
He continued, “I need to take some time to continue evaluating all of the possibilities and opportunities available to me to ensure that I am making the best decision for my family and our business. While I have every intention of continuing with this project, I first need to fully understand what happened at the city's construction office.” Before moving forward.
We wish Ryan and his team the best of luck with North Shore.
