Happy Tuesday!
today We've seen highs as high as 74 degrees here in Lubbock. The winds were calm and Tuesday was generally nice and pleasant.
Tonight Temperatures will begin to cool as we approach another 39 degrees for our low and the winds will shift more from the west to the north.
Expanded forecast:
Wednesday will see a nice and moderate high of 72 degrees with south and southeast winds around 8-12 mph. High fire weather will return across the region as wind speeds pick up. There will be more clouds in the sky bringing us some shade at times.
Wednesday night will see a low of 50 degrees with Thursday reaching another moderate high of 74 degrees. Models show the rainfall is coming a little later than previously expected, with a 20% chance of rain on Thursday evening. Winds will also be aggressive again and critical weather could be possible anywhere without moisture or precipitation. The rain should continue through Friday. Wind values will be more aggressive over the weekend.
Thursday night will see a low of 40 degrees with Friday reaching 56 degrees with slightly cooler conditions and chances of fairly heavy rain! Precipitation values for Friday will be 30% for a cool spring feeling day.
Friday night, the temperature will drop to 32 while Saturday will reach 56 and there is another small chance of some rain in the morning. Skies will be clear, mostly sunny, and winds will be northwesterly at 10-15 mph.
Saturday night will cool to 31 degrees and Sunday will start to warm up again as winds bring us some southerly heat. Our maximum temperature will be 65 degrees as daylight saving time begins at midnight and moves forward.
Sunday night the temperature will be 31 degrees with Monday reaching 71 degrees and skies clearing. Monday looks beautiful and sunny.
Monday night will bring us 47 while Tuesday will bring us back into the upper 70s for most; 76 would be our highest level.
