Inspired by the amazing audience at Sustainability LIVE: Net Zero Glen White, Founder and CEO of BizClik, took to the stage to take a few minutes to reflect on the future of sustainability and ESG.

Beginning by thanking those who have attended the first day of Sustainability Live: Net Zero so far, Glen spoke about the driving force behind founding Sustainability Magazine, and subsequently Sustainability Direct.

“There was a vision in 2018 to build a platform around sustainability and ESG, but it wasn't inspired by sustainability leaders,” Glenn said. “In fact, it was inspired by procurement and supply chain leaders who said to me, ‘Come on, Glenn, let’s stop We talk about digital transformation and instead talk about how it will drive our sustainability future.”

Building a platform that will shape the future

Sustainability Magazine was first launched in February 2019, and began its journey under another name – CSO Magazine. “But that name didn’t do justice to the industry and the amazing people driving the agenda,” Glenn said.

That's when Glenn made the decision to re-evaluate the platform and its mission for the future. “That was when we switched to Sustainability Magazine in March 2020, and I am proud to say to the team what a fantastic job they have done in developing the magazine and voting it the number one sustainability magazine in the world in 2023.

Now we have a name, but what about the agenda?

“The agenda is key. We don't set it, you and the network set it,” said Glenn. “Through our platform, we allow leaders to discuss their corporate strategies in granular detail, and where emerging trends like EV, Net Zero, AI and Gen AI can take us.” . We explain the sustainability strategies of the world's most innovative companies and provide a voice for their agenda. This is the journey we are on.”
