CNBC host visibly upset by Pete Buttigieg saying border crisis isn't Biden's fault: 'Did you see 7.2 million people coming' under Trump?

If Pete Buttigieg thought he would have an easy time giving an interview on a relatively modest business network, the reality revealed itself very quickly.

Reality was in the form of CNBC host Joe Kernen. The host's anger was palpable as the Secretary of Transportation tried hard, and critics would say failed, to shift the focus on the border crisis away from President Biden.

Seeing a major media host turn Buttigieg into a bumbling, bumbling mess should have come as a shock to even the most vocal supporters of the Biden administration.

Kernen began by emphasizing that the White House only began paying attention to the illegal immigration crisis when it became obvious damage to the Biden campaign. Buttigieg tried to intervene, but the host wasn't having it.

“Let me finish first. Every time we hear these talking points, all of a sudden, it's the Republicans who destroyed the border,” Kernen said. “That's why people are so frustrated.”

“We know what President Biden said about inviting people in. We know that he got rid of all the things that kept the borders closed [former] president [Donald] Trump has done it. We know that he got rid of all of these.

🔥 The CNBC host has had enough of the lies about the border

CNBC: “We know that [Biden] We got rid of all the things that kept the borders closed…

    Pete: That's not true…

    Pete Buttigieg is getting owned

Kernen was spitting undeniable facts at an official who is not often exposed to such things during his appearances in the mainstream media.

we know everyone Of those things. Biden urged illegal immigrants to cross the border. We know that he issued an executive order on his first day in office to end any border wall construction. We also know that he ended the “Remain in Mexico” policy.

In fact, Biden has taken 94 executive actions in his first 100 days to dismantle border security.

You should have known that Pete Buttigieg was going to try to spin and filibuster his way out of the CNBC host's criticism.

Unfortunately for Buttigieg, this time, the host simply didn't get that chance again.

Buttigieg implied that the only border policy that President Biden has gotten rid of is related to family separation, which is absolutely not true.

“Did you see 7.2 million people coming during the Trump administration?” Kernen responded, leaving Buttigieg with only one option — to repeat his talking point about “family separation.”

You can see that the host is becoming visibly angry at the Democrats' efforts to debate the matter.

When you lose a host on CNBC, you know your euphemisms and you've woken up, and the gaslighting bullshit doesn't work anymore. https://t.co/X1ycjWcg47

    Is the family separation over?

Critics might point out that Pete Buttigieg and his single argument that Biden stopped family separations is amusing, considering we know that even… Which The statement is not true.

You may recall that last year, a New York Times investigative reporter analyzed statistics indicating that the Biden administration had lost tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children.

“In several congressional hearings, HHS Secretary Becerra was asked about our reporting that HHS was unable to reach 85,000 migrant children immediately after their release,” reporter Hannah Dreyer said at the time.

“He says he doesn't know where these numbers come from. For what it's worth, they're from the press office of the Department of Health and Human Services.

There are reasons why some immigrant children may not want to talk to child welfare workers in the United States.

But the number of children the government has been unable to reach since 2021 is known.

    This number exceeds 85 thousand.

The proportion of children who are lost immediately is increasing.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has insisted that he will turn around the Biden border crisis by reinstating some of his policies and even implementing some new ones.

Trump pledged to activate the Alien Enemies Act if elected. This is a wartime law that would allow the president to authorize the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants over the age of 14. Trump also said America would see “mass deportations” on his first day in office.
