Democrats who vote in the Colorado primary will have an interesting choice on the ballot.
Of course, President Joe Biden's name will be listed, and perhaps some names that most people will not recognize, but the eighth and final option is: non-committal delegate.
In December, the Colorado Democratic Party put the word “nonconformists” on the ballot to try to encourage young voters to go to the polls, even if they are not fans of the president.
Because Colorado awards delegates proportionally, rather than winner-take-all, if enough voters in the state choose the “uncommitted” option, the party will be forced to send an uncommitted delegate to the party's nominating convention in August.

Deb Badesa is a Democratic activist in Denver who says there are many reasons not to vote for Biden, including his handling of the Israeli war on Gaza. He's proud of his nonconformist sound.
“It is important for the Democratic Party to realize that [Biden] “It has no monopoly or control over Al Qaeda,” he told the BBC. “The Democratic Party is large and diverse, full of young voters, voters of color and new coalitions flexing their political muscles for the first time.”
Although it is almost certain that President Biden will emerge with a victory in Colorado, if there are a large number of uncommitted votes, it will be seen as an uncomfortable place for the incumbent.
