Steven Raekwon Reynolds, the New York City-based singer-songwriter who records under the name S. Raekwon, has announced a new album. Stevenwhich follows his 2021 debut album where am I now And 2022 EP I love it when you smile, will be released on May 3 via Father/Daughter Recordings. Check out the new single “Old Thing” below.

“I recorded this album last summer in my living room in southern Illinois with my friend and drummer Mario Malachi,” Raekwon explained in a statement. “We both sat across from each other around a few microphones, and composed songs from individual takes. I wanted to capture a clearer, more direct sound that reflected our live show.

“Steven It is the voice in which I hold up a mirror and reflect on who I am: the good, the bad, the ugly. “It's about trying to understand the multitude within me. Through these songs I've found that I'm not alone in sometimes feeling like I don't deserve the love I've been given. And learning to accept that love when it's earned.
