Mike Lee – Kill “Schumer's Minibus”
“Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D.N.Y.) praised a package of six government funding bills on Sunday as 'good news' that prevents a government shutdown 'without cuts or poison pill passengers,'” The Hill reported.
“Schumer and congressional leaders unveiled the long-awaited package Sunday afternoon, hoping to pass the package before the March 8 partial government shutdown deadline,” Hill added. “Congress extended the funding deadline the week before in order to advance and pass the package.”
The story continued:
The six spending bills focus on funding the Departments of Agriculture, Interior, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, Veterans Affairs, Justice, Commerce and Energy through this fall. In total, the bills would allocate about $450 billion.
Both Democrats and Republicans responded to the package by winning some additions. GOP members promoted cuts to the EPA; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; And the FBI in the funding package, while Democrats praised the protection of some welfare programs.

According to reports, several conservative Republicans have advised House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to abandon negotiations and opt for a one-year funding bill with across-the-board budget cuts instead.

Time is running out…at the border
“The clock is now ticking until government funding runs out on Friday,” Schumer warned. “Between now and the end of the week, the House must quickly pass and send to the Senate this bipartisan package.”
But what about America's chaotic southern border? The clock has been ticking there for a long time. Very long.
Apparently, no one is worried Which A glaring problem except for a minority of conservative Republicans.
Especially Senator Mike Lee.
Secure borders – or close them
