The estate of the late Sinead O'Connor has issued a statement condemning Donald Trump's campaign for using the phrase “nothing compares 2u” at his recent rallies.

“It is well known that Sinead O'Connor has lived her entire life by a fierce moral code defined by honesty, kindness, fairness and decency toward her fellow human beings,” the statement read, according to Variety. He added: “We learned with great anger that Donald Trump was using her famous performance of 'Nothing Compare 2U' at his political rallies.”

The statement continued: “It is no exaggeration to say that Sinead would have been disgusted, hurt and insulted if her work had been misrepresented in this way by someone she herself referred to as a ‘Biblical Devil.’ As guardians of her legacy, we demand that Donald Trump and his associates stop using her music immediately.” .

Over the years, a number of artists have spoken out against Trump's use of their music, including Rihanna, the Rolling Stones, Guns & Roses, Neil Young, Prince Estate and David Bowie. Recently, Johnny Marr criticized Trump for using Smith's song “Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want” at a campaign rally.
