HUB on Smith COO Ryan Landis appeared on Sheridan Media's Public Pulse to discuss the changing dynamics of Sheridan's seniors and the evolving programs needed to meet their needs.
The Smith Center has evolved over the past few years, from a high-profile center to a more community-oriented organization. Although COVID-19 dealt a blow to the centre, the team and its clients pulled together and weathered the storm. Landis was happy to report that the numbers of visitors and members using the center have not only returned, but increased.

Years ago, HUB on Smith adapted to seniors when the Baby Boomer generation started turning 60; Increase programs and services to meet the need of the largest increase in the number of seniors in history.
Now Landis and the HUB team are starting to see Generation X take advantage of the services. Landis sees this as an opportunity to think outside the box to meet the needs and services needed for this generation.

As Gen-Xers begin to turn 60 and enter a new phase of life, Landis said HUB will adapt and evolve alongside its customers, while remaining the community organization that Boomers have not only relied on, but enjoy as their community center.
