    Happy Monday everyone!

Last night, a winter weather warning was issued for the eastern slopes of the Oregon Range, including the towns of La Pine and Sunriver. Total snow accumulations are expected to be 5 to 8 inches, with the exception of 8 to 16 inches mainly above 5,000 feet.

Travel can be very difficult. Hazardous conditions could affect Santiam Pass on Interstate 20.

Other winter weather advisories will go into effect at 4 p.m. for the cities of Bend, Madras, Prineville and Redmond. These areas can expect about 1 to 4 inches of snow. Both alerts will expire at 4 a.m. Tuesday.

A cold upper level trough remains over the forecast area this morning bringing snow to central Oregon and southern Oregon. Scattered snow showers are expected throughout the region.

High temperatures will be in the 30s to 40s today.

We are seeing a shift in the weather pattern resulting in a decrease in precipitation and higher temperatures later this week.
