Far-left political activist and late-night TV host Stephen Colbert is unhappy with the US Supreme Court's decision to hear Trump's immunity case and the New York Times wants you to know that for a reason.
It's hard to imagine something like this happening years ago when Johnny Carson was dominating late-night TV, but that's because Carson wasn't a crazy, self-absorbed progressive like Colbert.
Also, at that time, The New York Times was not run like a campus newspaper.

From the story:
Stephen Colbert declares the Supreme Court unconstitutional
“A dramatic result for America”
The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear Donald Trump's claim that he is immune from prosecution for conspiring to overturn the 2020 election. One consequence is that the trial will be delayed further.
“These proceedings have been on hold for so long that they can legally be considered children in Alabama,” Stephen Colbert said on the Late Show on Thursday.
“It is strange that SCOTUS feels the need to look into whether the laws are in place.” -Stephen Colbert
“And it gets worse – because oral arguments will take place in April, but court observers do not expect a decision until June. The trial judge promised the defense 88 days later to prepare, meaning the trial could now be postponed until late September or October.” , putting the proceedings at the heart of the election. This is terrible news for democracy, but great news for television. All the plots will come together at once for America's thrilling finale. —Stephen Colbert
well good. Also…who cares what Colbert thinks?

Colbert is pathetic. It's sad to see what happened to late night “entertainment” shows.
