To the shock of absolutely no one, Nikki Haley was endorsed by two of the most prominent senators.
Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine endorsed Haley's campaign on Friday.
“I am proud to endorse Governor Nikki Haley,” Murkowski said in a statement. “America needs someone with values, energy, and sound judgment to be our next president — and in this race, there is no one better.”
“Nikki will be a strong leader who will uphold the ideals of the Republican Party as she serves as President for All Americans,” she continued.
Meanwhile, Collins called Haley “extremely well qualified” to take over the Oval Office.
“She has the energy, intellect and temperament we need to lead our country in these very turbulent times,” Collins said, according to the Bangor Daily News.
Hailey thanked the duo for their support on the X platform, explaining that she was “grateful for their support.”

It's unclear why the two senators decided to endorse Haley so late in the race, given that her chances of defeating Donald Trump appear close to zero.
So far, Haley has lost to Trump in every primary she has run, including her home state of South Carolina. She also finished third against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in Iowa.
However, she has vowed to continue her campaign, at least until Super Tuesday.
“I'm an accountant. I know 40 percent is not 50 percent,” she said after her recent defeat in Michigan. “But I also know that 40 percent is not a small group.”
“I said earlier this week that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I will continue to run for office,” she said. “I am a woman of my word.”

Haley, who served as US ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration, has drawn the endorsements of notorious neoconservatives and neoconservatives, including former congresswoman Liz Cheney, neoconservative thought leader Bill Kristol and Meghan McCain, the late Arizona's daughter. Senator and presidential candidate John McCain.
Many have accused her of running to sabotage Donald Trump, though she recently described herself as a “conservative Republican” and downplayed the possibility of running an independent campaign on a third-party ticket.
