Republican Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York recently criticized far-left members of “The Squad” for taking a secret trip to Cuba.
How many people knew this trip took place? Why did members of Congress make this trip in the first place?
This is the story that the liberal media likes to ignore.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, D-U.I., unloaded on progressive Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., on Friday on “Fox & Friends” after the lawmakers' unannounced trip to Cuba to discuss the matter. “human rights.” Malliotakis is the daughter of a Cuban exile from Fidel Castro's regime.
NICOLE Malliotakis: These are anti-American members of Congress, okay? They are communist sympathizers, and they go to Cuba, which is not only a state sponsor of terrorism, but stands with our opponents. They are in a relationship with Iran, North Korea, Communist China and Russia. They allow them to operate spy bases 90 miles from our shores. They sheltered fugitives. They harbored terrorists.
It is inconceivable that these members of Congress would go there in an attempt to appease the government of Cuba. And then they hide under the guise of wanting to do something about human rights. Do they know that people in Cuba, including my relatives, make about $15 a month, $15 a month? So they come here in the United States, and they talk about fair wages.
Everyone should earn a living wage. Then they go and support the government that pays its people $15. And you know why? It's a farce. It is a travesty because every one of these members voted against the resolution standing with the Cuban people in 2021, when they were in the streets, fighting for their lives, fighting for freedom. The Socialist Division and Jayapal all voted “no” to stand against the people and the Cuban regime.
