A dog working with local police found a woman's head and several body parts in a park in Long Island, New York. A young girl playing in the park reportedly discovered the body parts.

Police say the Salvadoran MS-13 gang may be involved.

The New York Post reports – The grisly discovery came as authorities were sweeping the west side of Southards Park in Babylon on Thursday evening, after a leg and arms were discovered earlier that day, according to cops.
Later in the evening, a cadaver dog found a woman's right arm “about 20 feet in the woods from where the left arm is.” [was found]“Almost in a direct line,” Suffolk County Detective Lt. Kevin Bearer told reporters.
Based on a preliminary investigation, cops believe the other arm, leg and head all belonged to the same woman, “but that will be determined through scientific testing and through an autopsy,” Baer said.
The first body part they found was a man's arms cut off at the biceps and covered in tattoos. The fingertips on the man's arm were missing, making it difficult to identify the man.
The man's arm was reportedly discovered by a young girl who was walking to school with her friends. The severed arm was found in some roadside bushes near the park.
Neighbors are clearly concerned because schools surround the 19-acre recreational area.

This is not the first time Long Island residents have been concerned about the violent MS-13 international gang that was initially created in Los Angeles to protect Salvadoran immigrants in the 1980s. The gang, which consists primarily of young men arriving as unaccompanied foreign minors, has grown significantly since it was first formed. MS-13 gang members typically work in the construction, restaurant, delivery service and landscaping industries and provide false documents to their employers. The presence of MS-13 on Long Island has been a serious concern for residents since Barack Obama was president.
MS-13 gang members are usually covered in tattoos and are known for extreme acts of violence, including dismemberment.
In 2015, a 16-year-old girl was brutally raped in the woods on a Long Island golf course by two teens and a man who were members of the MS-13 gang. Two of them took turns raping her while the third stood watch.
“This is one of the most brutal and heinous crimes I have seen in a long time,” Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said at a news conference after the suspects were charged. “This poor young woman is very lucky to be, frankly, alive. These are evil young men, evil young men, and what they did to her was absolutely terrible.”
