Boston, MA weather rainy weekend – NBC Boston

It's not the ideal spring weekend, but we'll manage. The rain will hold off until lunchtime today, but when it does come, it will stay here all night. Some moderate rain showers can be expected as this system moves in, and when the dust settles tomorrow morning, we could see up to an inch of water in some towns and cities.

While no one wants to give up a weekend day to rainfall, it is worth noting that this water is vital reserves for the warmer months ahead. We had no late-season runoff from winter snows, so without frequent rains, we would have no way to replenish groundwater. (And we will be very vulnerable to a sudden drought.)

Low clouds, fog, mist and drizzle will extend into Sunday morning. Once we're out of the lice, we should have a (partly) sunny afternoon in some places.

There is a strong chance that some towns and cities will be as much as 60 degrees away from the coast! However, along the coast, cooling breezes off the water will ensure temperatures reach the upper 40s to near 50s C.

We'll all cool off a bit on Monday with a decent amount of sun, before another storm moves in on Tuesday. If you count, that's two in the next four days.

Unfortunately, there is Two more after that: One for Thursday and another for next weekend. We'll also be on the colder side of both of these weather systems, so we'll keep our eyes open for any sleet or mix.

Make the most of your weekend and be safe!
