Nearly $140 million. Well, we're going to get rain tonight, and it looks like we're going into a rainy period. Here's a look at what's happening. You have a very good storm heading towards Michoud. You can see that this pink color is an indication that you may receive some hail. The rain has now fallen over Braithwaite. ALSO IN POYDRAS. We can come out and show you the big view. There's a little rain on the north shore, but what we're really seeing is what's happening to the south and west. I'll show you the Lake Charles radar, because it shows that stronger storm. This is good for the West. All of this activity is moving toward the east, northeast, and east. Then we can look out the window and oh yeah, it's raining. So here's a look at your first WDSU weather warning. Locally heavy rain is likely overnight. The Weather Prediction Center is hitting our area hard right now. Therefore, rain and storms will increase. There is a risk that there may be some flooding in the streets. So, you'll have to stay weather aware for some persistent rain over the weekend. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but there will be some showers and then more rain and storms on Monday and Tuesday. It looks like the effect of the weather. the second day. Here's a look at your forecast for the morning. We could see two, two or three inches of rain. Then, during the day, we see rain accumulating along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I don't think this model does a really good job of showing the rain, but it will definitely increase overnight with the potential for locally heavy rain here we are at 8:00 it doesn't look that bad, but notice how the showers are turned off and on during the day . The main rain activity will be overnight. Then the weather improves on Friday night. Some rain on Saturday but I don't see much. Temperatures are in the 60s in the morning and then rise to the 70s. Saturday night for your wedding. You should be fine now. Sunday morning, I see mostly foggy temperatures in the 60s, then we get into the 70s. So you look at the fog forecast which doesn't look too bad for Saturday, but I'm seeing it for Sunday now. Chances of rain on Monday and Tuesday. Let's go to meteorologist Devon Lucey to learn about this effect. Thanks, Margaret. You mentioned storms tonight and that kind of opens the door for more stronger storm surges to arrive as we head into that period on Monday. That was Sunday. This Monday shows that the next wave of storms will continue Monday into Tuesday. Look at that. This is even expected to be far from heavy rain. And then the front type puts it at an end as we get to Tuesday. From Monday into Tuesday, we are already at another risk of heavy rain and heavy rain. The same one we had tonight that I just showed Margaret. When we look at a computer forecast of how much rain could fall anywhere from about one to four inches of rain, that's just one forecast. A team of meteorologists gathered outside Washington, D.C., said there could be 2 to 3 inches or more of rain. And that's just from Monday into Tuesday, with this particular spell of rain, how much at least how much warmth are we looking at with the high temperatures back in the mid 70s here on Monday and into Tuesday? So, even with the rain, there's a chance of heavy rain, and locally heavy rain, at least we'll be warmer and milder with temperatures in the 70s. We'll be watching what happens here tonight, and then we'll take you through the next weather impact the next day, Monday and Tuesday. With that bout of heavy rain. WDSU 1st Weather Warning, 7-Day Forecast, Storms Tonight Whether it's an impact day for locally heavy rain, make sure you're standing on higher ground. Not too bad for a weekend as Margaret showed, but then the Monday-Tuesday wave requires another weather impact day for a local spike

A flurry of storms opens the doors to more storms over the weekend and through most of next week, according to the New Orleans weather forecast. Here's the best timing for rain tonight. Because there is a low risk of locally heavy rain and the potential for flooded streets, we have designated overnight as WDSU's first weather impact warning day. We're looking at a 1″-2″ chance of rain if you find yourself getting several rounds of storms. The coolest temperatures on Friday will come just after midnight, when temperatures will actually rise from late tonight until sunrise Friday morning. It would be great to start the weekend, in the 50s and 60s. I think the weekend won't be too bad, but both mornings could start with some fog. We should see some sunshine on Saturday and Sunday as temperatures rise into the upper 70s and 70s, with only a slight chance of an isolated storm each day. Another wave of storms is expected by next Monday and Tuesday and could lead to more localized storm attacks. high rain. This will result in two additional days of First Weather Impact Warning days at WDSU. More storms are likely on Wednesday and Thursday as well. If this forecast data holds true, several inches of rain are likely from tonight into next week. Here's the 7-day forecast: Have a good night! – Devon
