Right-wing commentator Catward, who Newsweek once described as the “King of the MAGA Accounts” on social media, criticized Mitch McConnell after the Senate Minority Leader announced he would step down.
The popular conservative account on
He believes McConnell will make it his mission — going forward — to unseat Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and the America First movement in general.
“One of the biggest reasons our country is going through hell is the POS war pig,” Catward says. “He will spend the next nine months trying to burn America's Republicans first and bankroll his donors' every war.”
“It is 100% guaranteed,” he said.

Catward puts McConnell in deep freeze with his predictions
As for Catward's reference to the “war pig” – it's not exactly a mystery where Mitch McConnell's loyalties lie in the past two years. In fact, it has been nearly two years since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Funding the war effort in Ukraine has been his top priority, end of story, ever since.
He said this in an interview with Fox News host Dana Perino, in which he suggested he would focus his time on “explaining to the American people that the defeat of the Russians in Ukraine is the most important event happening in the world.” now.”

Earlier this week, while negotiating a massive foreign aid bill in the Senate, McConnell joined New York Democrats Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries in their efforts to abandon the American people and their desire for secure borders.
McConnell asked House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to “put the limits aside” because “the Senate's foreign aid bill is the only option available.”
Let's put the American people aside, because foreign aid is the only game in town. In other words, as Catward says, a war pig.

Republicans like to burn their morals on the way out the door
There is also a rich history of Republican figures in Congress willing to torch their morals and beliefs out the door for two important reasons – their disdain for Trump, and the backbone they have finally gained after they leave.
We saw one example of this with Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ill.), who served as lead negotiator for a $1.7 trillion spending bill in December of 2022 that President Joe Biden supported because, as the Washington Post noted, it included “funding.” For the “essential elements” of his “economic agenda.”
McConnell and Shelby helped speed up the spending bill as a way to limit the purse power of the new Republicans as the GOP was on the verge of taking back the House at the time.
Just this week, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton won a case after the court ruled that the sweeping $1.7 trillion spending package was illegally passed by the House of Representatives without a quorum as constitutionally required.
They circumvented the Constitution and denied Republicans the ability to rein in President Biden, because they believed the legislators the American people voted for were too extreme, or rather, America first.
Following news of his retirement in 2021, Senator Pat Toomey (PA), a former member of the Tea Party Caucus, voted alongside Democrats to affirm that the impeachment trial of former President Trump was constitutional.
And how many times have we seen Senator Mitt Romney, who has announced he will not seek re-election, and former GOP Reps. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, willing to torch the American people on their way out just because Trump is so mean?

Catward is right: McConnell has widely indicated that he will follow these other Republicans in trying to destroy Trump now that he is completely free of the burdens of another term in the Senate.
McConnell will abandon every conservative principle that has defined an extensive career. The only thing he will definitely stand for is funding foreign war efforts and continuing to put Ukraine and Israel first.
