Weeks ago, Donald Trump Jr. called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) a “pro-amnesty turtle.” Yesterday, during a private meeting at the White House to discuss the Senate's $95 billion foreign aid bill, McConnell was proven right.
Punchbowl News reporter Jake Sherman described the meeting as the “Big Four” of congressional leaders — McConnell, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and House Minority Leader Hakeem . Jeffries (D-NY) – Discusses foreign aid bill.
Sherman describes it as “the world versus Mike Johnson,” and McConnell's comments show he is squarely in line with his Democratic counterparts in putting Ukraine and Israel first while letting Americans' security become an afterthought.
McConnell's comments, as Sherman reports, are infuriatingly anti-American.
“McConnell told Johnson that the Senate's foreign aid bill is the only solution in town, and that time is of the essence,” the reporter told his followers on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
He added, “Johnson talked about the borders, but McConnell asked him to put the borders aside and focus on (the supplemental spending bill).”

McConnell's priorities are clear
It's hard to disagree with Sherman's view that Johnson faces three men in a “Big Four” scenario. McConnell's comments are a clear indication that he has unabashedly stood by Schumer and Jeffries.
Proposing the foreign aid bill is “the only game in town” and “putting the borders aside” are almost indistinguishable comments from any far-left Democrat.
Actual conservatives in Party X were, to put it mildly, appalled at McConnell dancing like a trained monkey to the Democratic Party and Ukraine.
Fox News contributor Molly Hemingway called his comments evidence of a “shocking lack of leadership or concern for America.”
Steve Bannon, a former aide to President Donald Trump, said McConnell and the Republican Party want open borders as much as Democrats do.
“It's in your face. They don't care,” Bannon said. “Not only do they not care, they do Wants I opened. “It works for the donor class.”

Angry Senator Rand Paul also criticized McConnell, saying: “The leadership of both parties supports Ukraine first, and America last!”
This is quite clear.

Ukraine is the most important thing in the world to him
It's not as if McConnell hasn't been communicating his priorities for some time now. Priorities that put America on the back burner while he takes care of his child in Ukraine.
Funding the war effort in Ukraine has been his top priority, end of story, for more than a year now.
He said so in an interview with Fox News host Dana Perino, in which he suggested he focus his time on “explaining to the American people that the defeat of the Russians in Ukraine is the most important event that's happening in the world.” now.”

Schumer told reporters that “McConnell was the main speaker in saying we need to do Ukraine” during the private meeting at the White House on Tuesday.
McConnell “sees the fight to help Ukraine as critical to his 40-year legacy in the Senate,” Politico reported.
