Armand Hammer collaborated with Benjamin Booker on “Doves,” which was released as a bonus track on the rap duo's latest album. We buy diabetes test strips. The song was co-produced by Booker and Kenny Segal, and comes with an accompanying short film directed by Ryosuke Tanzawa. Check out the nine-minute track below.
Tanzawa shared the following statement about the video:
Sage Elsseser, aka Navy Blue, hooked me on the woods last year, and I was really looking forward to doing an Armand Hammer video (“Tabula Rasa” and “Stone Fruit” are big songs for me), but I never expected something that was nine minutes long , it basically has it all… It's quiet and loud, intimate and spacious, beautiful and ugly – all rolled into one. I was a little intimidated by the size of the track at first and asked Woods to give me some time to think about whether I would be the right manager for the project. When I went through the archive of black-and-white images and started testing them, placing them on the lyrical parts of the track, I felt OK – this is going to work. So I called Woods and told him I wanted to do it. It turns out that we had almost the same idea about where and how to shoot it with Elucid. In the end, producer Sean and I, with an arsenal of cameras from Super 8 to iPhone, shot the film over 3 days in a snowy January week.
