The IRS is hiring two former digital asset executives, including one who worked at Binance's US unit, to help bolster its cryptocurrency expertise.
Solulite “Raj” Mukherjee, who served as global head of tax at blockchain software company ConsenSys and previously at digital asset exchange Binance US, will join the IRS as counsel. Seth Wilkes, who until recently was vice president of government relations and success at crypto tax software company TaxBit, will also join in a similar role. Both will help lead the agency's cryptocurrency compliance and enforcement efforts, the IRS said.
