The Met Office is forecasting a wet start to the day in Darlington today.
It won't take long for the frost to stop and the day to take on an overcast appearance.

Wind speeds are expected to be low throughout the day.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Freezing weather turning cloudy late in the morning.
“A cloudy start with rain, possibly continuing across the western hills, but some eastern parts may remain dry.
“Rain will fall southwards during the afternoon, followed by sunny spells and isolated showers. Fairly breezy at times, especially across the hills.
“Winds ease slightly during the night with a mixture of clear spells and variable cloudiness. Possibly the odd rural frost or patch of fog. Clouds intensifying towards dawn, especially across western parts.”
