A galaxy far, far away will be represented in Langford as The Mandalorian star Emily Swallow is scheduled to appear at FanCon.
Swallow is known for her roles as the Armorer and has appeared in both The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett.
Bringing her to Langford ensures another big name for the conference, said Lonnie Eckardt, founder of Island FanCon.
“Having Emily join our guest list at Island FanCon reinforces our commitment to pop culture pedigree,” Eckardt said. “The Star Wars universe is very much a multi-generational fanbase and we are very excited to include this element on our site.” First year.”
Swallow's most famous phrase, “That's the way it is,” has spawned countless memes, but lightsabers and Baby Yoda aren't the only things she's known for.
She has also had recurring roles on Supernatural and was the voice of Lisa Tepes in Netflix's animated version of Castlevania.
The Mandalorian star joins Game of Thrones star Hafthor Julius Bjornsson who will appear at the convention on April 13-14.
