Legendary Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone rocky She became the latest in a long line of celebrities to join the exodus from increasingly liberal California in search of a better life in Florida.
Stallone flees from California to Florida
Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, to whom he has been married for 26 years, made the revelation in the season 2 premiere of their reality show “The Family Stallone,” according to Fox News.
Stallone, 77, told his three daughters, Sofia, 27, “After long and hard thought, your mother and I have decided that it is time to move on and leave California permanently, and we will go to Florida.” “, 25 years old, and “Scarlett” 21 years old.
“We will sell this house,” he added. “We already have the place, it's agreed upon.”
Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, immediately welcomed Stallone to the Sunshine State.
“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” she wrote on social media. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without an armed guard at CVS opening it for you.”
Stallone flees California to move to Florida
In 2021, Stallone purchased a $35.4 million home in Palm Beach that sits on 1.5 lakefront acres and faces more than 250 feet of beach with a dock. Since then, Stallone and his wife have been dividing their time between Florida and California, but it looks like they're finally ready to sever all ties with the latter liberal state.
Flavin spoke openly about the move to Florida last December, saying: “It's an amazing move, and I have to say I'm really happy with our move and change.”
“I was born and raised there, and two of our children were born there, but now everyone is out of the house, and our daughters have moved to the East Coast… so there's nothing left for me in California,” she continued. “A few of our best friends have also moved on, so I guess it is [a] A good change, just making new friends, living a completely different lifestyle, I love it, I'm really happy.
She later added: “I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States, and I absolutely love it, but I just need a change.” “I felt like I had lived there long enough, and life was short, so I wanted to make a change and not just sit in one house the rest of my life.”

Scott Baio joins the California exodus
This comes amid a years-long exodus from California as the state becomes increasingly radically liberal. Last year, former “Happy Days” star Scott Baio also announced that he was leaving California to move to Florida.
“I see people… when I'm driving with my child, I have to turn her head away. She's 14. “I see people pooping on the sidewalk,” Baio lamented during a call with the Clay & Buck show. “You see people in parks shooting. There are people passing out everywhere. i mean it. It's not isolated. It's everywhere. I'm about to move out of state. So, you know, just so you guys know, it's no joke here.
“I think maybe since Governor Newsom, it's gotten really bad, and maybe a little bit before that. So, maybe four or five years ago. “It's just…it's out of control, guys. Listen, I've been here for 45 years, almost 50. I've seen this place go from absolute paradise to a cesspool…”
Other celebrities are fleeing California
Other celebrities who have recently fled California include devout Catholic film star Mark Wahlberg and former conservative “Superman” star Dean Cain, both of whom moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Wahlberg told Fox News that he made the move to give his “four children a better life,” while Cain directly said he left California because the state “went crazy” under Democratic leadership.
“I had to leave California,” Cain said in December. “California has gotten kind of crazy. There's been a lot. Look at the taxes. Look at the regulations. Look at the ridiculous laws that have been passed.”
“There were things I didn't agree with, and I've been voting here, living here, and working here my whole life,” he continued. “I'm finally where I'm at. I don't agree with this.”

Liberals have run the entire state of California, so it's no surprise that A-list celebrities like Stallone would flee for a better life in Florida. If the liberals running California want to keep the rich and famous in their state, they may need to start rethinking some of their more extreme left-wing policies.
