NRL SuperCoach 2024: Should emerge from top spot updates ahead of round one

We're just days away from the NRL SuperCoach season, tryouts are over and we finally have a clear indication of what position most players will play.

So we have a huge announcement to make!

The following players have earned dual position status for Round 1 based on a number of factors including the position they played in the trials and the positions they are set to play in the NRL.

    * Ken Bradley (currently CTW only, 2RF added) – The final trial of the storm started in the back row of the ledge, hence this location was added. Bradley looms as a must-have player for the first round if he holds the position.

    * Euan Aitken (currently CTW only, 2RF added) – He was used as a center in all but one game last year but played in the back row in a weekend tryout for the Dolphins. Aitken is now relevant as a SuperCoach – a back-rower with big minutes available at the position always generates interest due to better underlying stats compared to the original centres.

    * Alexander Brimson (currently FLB only, CTW added) – When we defined positions in December, we were conscious of giving Brimson only one position so that we could add a position later (we can add positions but not delete them).

The full-back was chosen given he played there in all but one game last season. But the rumors proved true – Brimson will move into the position this year, thus winning the position for SuperCoach.

    * Jaiyden Hunt (currently FRF only, 2RF added) – The Brisbane recruit is vying to take the back row spot for Brendan Piakura (knee), who is racing the clock for Round 1. Byakura is set to play, but it is clear that Hunt has been named a breakout player this season at his new club.

    * Jimmy Humphries (currently HFB only, HOK added) -Produced a tremendous off-season and is expected to force his way onto the manly bench as a utility cover hooker and halves. So he added a prostitute.

    * Brad Parker (currently CTW only, 2RF added) – Parker spent the entire season in the back row and will be a permanent substitute this season.

    * Will Price (currently FLB only, CTW added) – The England recruit is in contention for an outside back position at the Knights but is unlikely to be a full-back given the presence of Kalen Ponga.

    * David Armstrong (currently FLB only, CTW added) – Another player competing for the outside back positions in Al-Fursan.

    * Jacob Gagai (added as FLB/CTW double) – Made the trip to Vegas and could make his debut due to the absence of Jack Wighton (suspension), Tyrone Munro (ankle) and Campbell Graham (sternal).
